HKMA-ASTRI Fintech Innovation Hub | ASTRI - Hong Kong Applied Science And Technology Research Institute Company Limited

Launched on 11 November 2016, the HKMA-ASTRI FinTech Innovation Hub (The Hub) intends to be a neutral ground of the FinTech industry, a place where various stakeholders can collaborate to innovate.

The Hub is equipped with around 200 virtual workstations connected through a segregated network segment, which can be expanded further if needed. Virtual private networks can be set up to connect out of the Hub with up to 30 external innovation facilities or developer laboratories in Hong Kong and overseas.

The Hub consists of:

A brainstorm zone with causal coffee lounge setups to facilitate open discussion;
A demo Room which hosts two separate demonstrations of prototype and solution concurrently; and
A co-working room that can support up to 12 people for meeting purposes or development activities

Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness through applied research.
